A bit about me...
I’m Sue Ruby—and while I may be coming up to retirement age, my entrepreneurial streak clearly didn’t get the memo!
I live in Fleet with my husband Rubes (David!) and our two cats, Bear and Boo. When I’m not working as a Project Manager in the world of corporate transformation, you’ll usually find me planning my next sunny escape, chasing a golf ball around a course, or buried in travel research with a strong cup of tea.
With a solid pension on the horizon but a lifestyle that dreams a little bigger (think golf days, sunshine breaks, and the freedom to choose), I knew I needed something to bridge the gap. I wasn’t looking for another full-on job—I wanted flexibility, freedom, and something that actually excited me. Something with purpose and passion, but no contracts, no targets, no daily commute, no working for someone else to get rich......and definitely no office clock-watching.
So when a friend casually posted on Facebook, “I’m an Independent Travel Agent,” I picked up the phone and said, “No you’re not—what’s going on?!” She explained—and honestly, I signed up on the spot. It ticked every single box... and then some.
